R Squared Renovations has years of experience and knowledge in the commercial wiring industry and can handle any of your electrical needs for any size project. We have the ability to install main underground feeders, parking lot lighting, transformers, switch gear, and branch circuit panels. All power and lighting needs from office cubicles to showroom lighting are in the scope of our work. We understand power quality and harmonic distortion and know how to minimize the affects. We have worked with many of the major retail chains and installed dimming system and energy management systems that are controlled locally and remotely.
Industrial wiring is also something we are well adapt to doing. Having worked in automotive manufacturing plants, large hospitals, and other parts manufacturing plants has given us the background to wire complex machines with variable frequency drives, DC motors, and large relay control centers. We have worked with medium voltage systems (600v to 4500v) and equipment, along with low voltage systems for DC power and fire alarm systems.

Service Upgrades
An electrical service upgrade to a commercial building may be needed for a number of reasons. If your business is growing and the addition of machinery and or office space is required there is a good chance the existing electrical service is not capable of handling the additional load. Another reason may be downsizing a business and dividing the space to allow for another tenant or business to share the space, in which you would require separate metering of the electricity used. We have the know how to handle either case and we team with competent electrical engineers to provide the necessary load calculations, documentation, and blueprints to meet the requirements of the local jurisdiction or municipality.
Fire or water damage may be another reason for upgrading or replacing the electrical service. In this case, a fast repair may be needed to get the business back up and running quickly to reduce lost production and revenue. We can bring in temporary generators and make the necessary connections to keep your business running while making the permanent repairs to a damaged electrical system.

Back Up Power
Back up power systems can be installed and extremely useful in any type of building. Having a back up generator is a form of insurance for your electrical system and your business or residence. A back up power system can be connected to any or all of the loads you want to keep running in the event of a power failure. The most common situations would be hospitals and healthcare facilities where uninterrupted power may be a matter of life and death. Other scenarios might be frozen or refrigerated food storage, computer equipment and data storage, emergency lighting, elevator power, security systems with electronic locks and gates, and many others.
Back up power systems can be designed specifically for your needs and installed by the professionals at R Squared Renovations. Back up generators are generally diesel, natural gas, or propane powered and are connected to an automatic transfer switch that automatically turns the unit on when utility power is lost. The transfer switch can also be programmed to exercise the unit on a monthly basis to make sure the system remains in proper working order and are going to run when you need them.
In larger systems, multiple generators can be connected together and the power synchronized to meet any demand such as a hospital or high rise building. They can also be very small units that only power one or two circuits, but in any situation, R Squared Renovations can design, supply, install, and maintain your back up power system.

Commercial or industrial buildings are used to generate revenue in one fashion or another and in most cases depend on electricity to power some type of lighting, machine, or computer, so in the event that machine, light or computer doesn’t come on, then you need an experienced commercial electrician to diagnose the problem and make the repair.
